The MedQuarter Regional Medical District is a 50-square block area of downtown Cedar Rapids that has been designated as a Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District (SSMID). The District was formed to promote a dynamic urban medical community that improves the quality of life and acts as a catalyst for economic development in the area.
